RE: New Product- Titanium Flip Axles
I'll assume any trucks that can handle a 7mm axle. Took me a minute to understand how they work, instead of a nut to hold the wheel, I'm at least positive anyhow (correct me if I am not), that the wheel is held by the black piece and it flips down to take them off instead?

That would actually be a really nice feature if they came in 8mm too.

It looks like they may be thicker in the middle. If so, they may be for the 8mm S-G trucks. Shrug

Yea, I was a little confused about it too Res. I've been staring at them since Nathan posted them in all honesty trying to figure everything out

They need to be pressed into 7mm trucks. You want it thicker in the middle so they axle can grab onto the truck housing.

They will not. It would be VERY expensive to manufacture true 8mm axles.
7mm axles are machined, and this gives it a tighter tolerance and stronger.
Labeda decided to make 8mm axles for the Proline, but it took 2 YEARS to get them axles within spec! 8mm axles are a bastard size. Easy to make because 8mm can be pressed/extruded in bulk. When it comes to machining TRUE 8mm within tight tolerances, its a huge undertaking.

Ah, alrighty. Hm, decisions. I tend to like 8mm for the larger bearing choice, but then Titanium axles I wouldn't destroy...

Actually, I get nervous with titanium and derby. Titanium us stronger but it's also brittle. Steel axles will bend, but titanium will snap.
