Full Version: My outdoor plate position

Ok Res here is some pics youve been pushing me for... (telling me i dont own skates :P)... i got rid of these but after a bunch of trial and error this is where i finished off with my plate position... i had 2 pics one of the front axle placement and one of the rear...

What does the forward-shifted mount do for you outdoors? Does it provide better feedback?

It helps the front wheels get over pebbles and cracks better. It also helps you get a better push if you are speed skating.
when your front wheels are so far forward and your back wheels are under or infront of your heel most of yuor weight is on your beck wheels.... making it much easy to run rocks over an all that junk... i did 6 or so parades all a few miles long and not once did i get a rock to stop my wheels... i wasnt even on outdorr wheels just some cheapo package skate wheels i had laying around

res measure from your front axle to the front of your boot....

yea these were less then an 1 3/4" to the front of the boot...
