Anyone use these? I'm thinking of ditching the inlines for outdoor use and just sticking these on my Riedell 220s.

They have a hardness of 80a, 62mm
After reading the ad, they sound promising. They would look good with the graphics scrubbbed off in my opinion, but that is the type of wheel you would need.
Some companies make larger diameters such as 65 and 70mm. The bigger the better as long as they clear your plates.

what are your outdoor wheels?
Junk. Seriously. They are old hubless "Chicago" rink wheels. 57mm in diameter. They are resilliant, though, and that is what you need in an outdoor wheel. The soft urethane absorbs vibraton and conforms better to rough surfaces.

Larger diameter is an advantage when it comes time to roll across cracks and debris. The bigger the better. The only limitation is the clearance between your sxle and plate in full turn. The last thing you want is for the wheel to colide with the bottom of the boot. It could slow you very quickly.

Large skateboard wheels are candidates as well as "outdoor" quad skate wheels. That opens up all sorts of choices; colors, diameter, width.

To the best of my knowledge you want a durometer in the 78 to 88 range. Rink wheels are usually in the 90s.

Here is a vid I did of mine, comparing them to rink wheels. Entertaining if nothing else. Smile

They look like gumy Lifesavers. Eat
They DO look yummy.
So, what did you end up getting?
Resurrecting an old thread here, but I'm looking for advice on a good outdoor "standard" width wheel, my hard-ass Zooms aren't cutting it, but I tried a pair of narrow wheels, 30mm I think, and I hated it. I've been skating on 40mm-44mm all my life and I want a set that size for outdoor, but I want the "outdoor hardness" so I don't feel like Jell-O from the waist down when I'm done.
Check out these:

or these:

These are about the firmest wheel I would use on most outdoor surfaces, though I have not tried these particular wheels:

The wheels I am using are in the low to mid 80A durometer range, on an aluminum hub, but they are no longer available. I have used wheels similar to the atom pulse and Route, and would reccommend that style of wheel for outdoors. They will tire you out, but they won't vibrate your fillings out of your teeth.
Resurrecting a resurrected thread. Did you get some outdoor wheels?
