Rip Stick wheels on quad skates?

Specter, give us your thoughts on these. How are they?

I love them! I even use them inside! They are smooth and the wheels come with Abec-5 bearings. I think everyone should try them. Biggrin
Gotta love the green thing! ...I wonder if they come in red...

I may have to do that. I am just having trouble accepting how odd they look. It's hard to argue with performance, though.

That setup might work for me outside. I'm not crazy about inlines. Those look like the best of both worlds. Are they just regular skates?

skates.com now sells the Ridhard Humphries "streamline" skates. It looks like a special taller truck that allows for 100mm wheels UNDER the boot. You can throw normal size wheels on there and they still look O.K.
Good job on those Specter. You probably did that much cheaper than buying the commercial ones or the conversion kit.

Yes, just inexpensive kids skates. Nothing special except for a little extra wheel clearance here and there. I just touched it with a grinder on a few places on the soles of the boot. Very minor, though.

We bought the wheels on clearance at WalMart for $1 pair including bearings. Good1

At $1 a pair, I would have bought them out just for the bearings. Wink
